In response to the Supreme Court's West Virginia vs. EPA decision handed down today, Clarity CEO David Lu has made the following statement:

Today SCOTUS’s decision on West Virginia vs EPA is a major setback to the United States’ ability to meet greenhouse gas emission reduction goals. With these new limitations, air pollution becomes more important than ever as a measurement the EPA can use to cap emissions.

Air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions are often two sides of the same coin. Air pollution is a climate problem, a health problem, and an environmental justice problem. How this setback gets resolved may be a challenge, but it is absolutely imperative that it be overcome, urgently.
