About the webinar
In July 2025, MCERTS Bulletin PC4 clarified that an indicative MCERTS certificate only covers the concentrations a monitor was exposed to during field testing, and most monitors were tested in urban background air. Two months later, the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) told its members that MCERTS certification alone is not sufficient evidence that a low-cost sensor can monitor PM10 at construction, demolition, quarry, and waste sites.
For anyone responsible for a dust monitoring plan working to the IAQM action level of 190 µg/m³, the question is now what evidence is sufficient. The Clarity Dust Module is the first indicative monitor with a certified MCERTS performance range for elevated PM10 (0 to 374 µg/m³), and we will walk through exactly what the certificate does and does not cover.
Join Paolo Micalizzi (Co-founder and CTO) and Lee Swanson (Regional Account Manager, Europe and Africa) for a one-hour session covering:
- What PC4 and the IAQM position statement changed, and what consultants, contractors, and local authority officers are now expected to document
- Why most low-cost PM sensors under-report coarse dust, and what a heated inlet and size-distribution detection change
- Inside the Dust Module certification: field tests against heated BAM reference monitors, hourly PM10 up to 374 µg/m³, and how CSA Group now records measurement conditions on the certificate
- How to structure a dust monitoring plan that keeps the generic 190 µg/m³ action level instead of negotiating a lower site-specific one
- What the certification means for quarry, waste, and industrial sites, not only construction
- Live Q&A: ask Paolo and Lee anything about the certification, the IAQM recommendations, or your own monitoring plan
Whether you write dust monitoring strategies, approve them, or run the sites they apply to, you will leave with a clear picture of what the 2025 changes require and the evidence now available. A recording will be sent to everyone who registers.
