"Now that we have collected a couple of years of data, we are starting a new phase of our project, which is analyzing the data and drafting our first reports. Clarity is helping us put together two internal reports and two public reports. In terms of internal reports, the first one is purely technical and allows our team to be more efficient and proactive in the maintenance of our network. As an example, it allows us to have 95% of our sites with uptimes greater than 95%. The second internal report aims to support our public policy team to advocate and influence for taking actions for better and cleaner air in WA, Western Australia.”

"The Node-S is solar powered, has impressive battery life, and transmits data via cellular network. That means we could put these monitors anywhere that the sun shines and you can make a cell call. After the Marshall fire we installed a total of 22 monitors in the burn area. "

Having a larger network of sensors where we have a better resolution of where air pollution is worse or better will be beneficial in allowing us to change behaviors, educate people more, or do all sorts of things to improve the health of those people

"People want to know what’s really happening with their local air quality. The ability to have an answer back to students, parents, and teachers within seconds is invaluable."

"Success doesn’t stop at measurement. We engaged in community-based planning with our community partners. We worked with neighbors to have intimate environmental justice listening sessions. We also had a self-guided EJ Tour where folks could walk around their neighborhood, looking at our data map, and then mark down things that they saw in the neighborhood that might be concerning. And we had a couple of fun virtual block parties, too!"
